FLY Greenland

FLY Greenland is a film pedagogical learning network and cooperation between the project KIVITSISA in Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq, institut for learning, Ilinniarfissuaq/Greenland University og The Animation Workshop/VIA UC. The purpose of the network is to learn more more and develop on how film language can be used in the different subjects in schools.
Teachers and teachers students in the network meet up three times a year for workshop days at the teacher seminar in Nuuk to learn more about visual language, how to make films, film-litteracy/film language sound and so on. The aim is to find ways to use film and media in the different subjects and explore how using film language in the class room can enhance learning abilities and critical thinking.
In between workshop days the teachers and teachers students are working actively with film and media productions in the class rooms building upon the knowledge gained at the workshop days.
